Aurecon’s established Environment and Planning Team is looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Melbourne team. Aurecon’s Environment Team has developed a reputation for high standards of environmental assessment, approvals and planning. The successful candidate will work closely with a friendly and supportive team of highly experienced technical experts who specialise in environmental impact assessments, statutory approvals, planning, contamination, heritage and other environmental disciplines. The Senior Environmental Consultant role offers diverse, interesting, and challenging work. Our forward workload for the delivery of infrastructure projects in Defence and Energy markets is driving further growth for the business. The key responsibilities will include: Providing sound advice and support to clients on environmental and approval aspects Managing the delivery of environmental impact assessments and management plans and technical studies and contributing to the technical content in reports and proposals Coordinating and preparing environmental approvals and preparation of environmental management plans Learn to grow client relationships and build your profile at industry events and actively promoting our capability to key target clients The desirable skills, experience and abilities include: 5-7 years’ environmental experience, preferably with some consultancy experience; Demonstrated experience with preparation of environmental reports including management plans, compliance and risk assessments and environmental approvals; Sound understanding of Victorian and Commonwealth government environmental approval processes; Demonstrated experience with the preparation of proposals and tenders; Working with and upskilling graduate environmental consultants; Candidate must be an Australian citizen so they are eligible for Australian Defence Baseline Security Clearance; Motivated to proactively contribute to a team environment, share knowledge, skills and ideas; Formal qualification in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or related discipline; High degree of self-motivation and time management; Excellent internal and external communication skills; Embodies one or more of Aurecon’s Attributes such as Inquisitive and Co-creative; A commitment to safety and safe work practices, and a willingness to promote Aurecon's safety culture.
